CommView and CommView for WiFi use the documented, recommended Windows API function for name resolution: getnameinfo(). This function is not supposed to perform NetBIOS name lookups and doesn't do so under all other Windows version. However, under Windows 7, it doesn't behave as documented. It's a bug in Windows 7. To remedy the situation, open Control Panel => Network and Sharing Center => Change adapter settings, select the icon that represents your adapter, right-click on it, select Properties, then switch to the Networking tab, select Internet Protocol Version 4, click Properties, then Advanced, select the WINS tab, and finally select Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP. Note that you might have to do the same for all network adapters.
